Overview

A server-rendered Next.js website backed by a separate Laravel content service, giving NKFTCL one place to present its projects, client organisations, board, management and media to public-sector audiences.

About NKF Trading Company Ltd.

The trading enterprise of Nou Kollan Foundation, the welfare organisation of the Bangladesh Navy. It delivers dredging, consultancy, hydrographic survey, construction and trade for Bangladesh’s ports, waterways and economic zones.

Challenge

NKFTCL works for port authorities, water development boards and Navy commands. These audiences expect a public record they can check: who governs the company, what it has delivered, for whom, and at what value. The site had to hold a project register with procuring entity, contract value, duration and progress, list client organisations, and introduce the board and operation management. It also had to work as a plain introduction for a visitor who has never heard of the company.

Solution

The public site is a Next.js App Router application: server-rendered, styled with Tailwind CSS, with next/image handling photography and client logos. Projects, clients and media come from a Laravel back end on its own host, so the company’s team can keep records current without a code change. The home page covers the welfare mandate, capabilities and headline figures, then sends visitors on to About, Board, Management, Services, Projects, Clients, Media and Contact. On phones, a bottom navigation bar and a WhatsApp enquiry link keep contact one tap away.

Process

The structure follows how a public-sector buyer vets a contractor. Governance comes first: the board, chaired by the Chief of Naval Staff, and the management team. Capability follows, in 18 service disciplines. Then the evidence: a project register with values and progress, the client list, and selected survey, community and supply work. Every project card carries the same fields, so one project can be compared with the next at a glance.

Outcome

The live site presents the company’s DPM projects, 22 client organisations and four offices as one consistently structured record, kept up to date through the content back end.
  • Project register showing procuring entity, contract value, duration and progress for each project
  • Dedicated Board and Operation Management pages that put governance on the record
  • Capabilities organised into 18 service disciplines, from dredging to prefabricated steel buildings
  • Mobile bottom navigation and a WhatsApp enquiry link for contact on the go
